I just released my Java Xeyes application, which you can download using the link below. If you've used the old Unix/X-Windows 'xeyes' application, you'll know what this app does. If not, here's a link to a one-minute YouTube video that demonstrates how this works:
Java Xeyes for Mac OS X
My current Java Xeyes program is currently bundled to run on Mac OS X systems, and requires your Mac to have Java 1.6.u10 installed. As of this writing in May, 2011, if you're using Mac Snow Leopard and you've kept up with your Mac updates, you should have everything you need. (This might also work on Mac Leopard, but I haven't tested it there yet.)
This site requires JavaScript to be enabled. Ensure you have a JDK installed, if not, download here (For 64-bit Intel Macs, download Java for Mac OS X 10.5, Update 1. For the latest version of Mac OS, use the Software Update feature) Download the file for OS X on the Downloads page; Double-click the SQL Developer icon. Java, a runtime environment that works 'behind the scenes' to let you use many Web sites, online services, and applications, is no longer built in with Macintosh operating systems.Apple's October 2012 software update removes the Java plugin from all Web browsers. Following recent security vulnerabilities with Java, we recommend that Mac OS X users check their version of Java and keep it up-to. Download and Install. Requires OS X 10.11 or later. We benefit from open source licences for JProfiler (a Java profiler).
Assuming you know how the Unix xeyes app works, or you watched the video, you're probably ready for the download. Here it is:

I hope you like it!
Java Xeyes Documentation
I haven't included any documentation in the Java Xeyes app, mostly because there isn't much to know. Okay, okay, here's a little bit of help:
Installation: Just install it like most Mac applications: Download it, double-click the zip file to open it, double-click the folder to open it, then drag the 'JEyes' application icon to your Applications folder. Once installed, put the original zip file and folder in the trash.
Full Screen Mode: The biggest thing to know is that you can make if full screen by pressing [Command][F], and you also get out of full-screen mode using that same keystroke.
Dragging: You can move the eyes anywhere on your screen. Just click one of the eyes and drag it to wherever you want them.
I'll add more documentation to the app if I add more features to it, but for now I hope that's sufficient.
After upgrading to a newer version of Mac OS X (Yosemite 10.10 and El Capitan 10.11) or macOS (Sierra 10.12 and High Sierra 10.13), you may end up getting an annoying new pop-up message whenever you start your computer. It says, “To use the java command-line tool, you need to install a JDK.” It asks you to click “More Info” and visit the JDK (Java Developer Kit) download website.
Free Java Download For Mac
The reason you’re receiving this message is due to the removal of Java support in newer versions of OS X for security reasons. Older software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator requires legacy Java support. Without a compatible Java command-line tool for these software, you’ll get this pop-up every time you turn on your Mac computer.
Download Java Programming For Mac Os X64
When you visit the download website to update Java, you find that the issue isn’t resolved! You’re still getting the same pop-up. This isn’t a complicated issue to fix, but it is an indirect one. The problem is that you’re not being routed to the correct download website when you click “More Info.”
Apple could have remedied this issue by programming the “More Info” button to direct you to the right fix. Here are the steps you can take to finally rid yourself of this pop-up:
Fix Java Command-Line Tool Pop-Up on Mac OS X
Download Java For Mac Os
Download Java for OS X 2017-001 aka Apple’s version of Legacy Java Command-line tool.
Mount the .dmg disk image file and install Java 6 runtime for OS X.
Restart your Mac and enjoy the absence of this Java command-line tool error pop-up!
